I delayed the decision to go into NYC until the morning the train left. When I woke up I decided I would regret it if I didn't go in. When else would I have this opportunity? The email informing us we had won lottery tickets to the Lion King on Broadway sealed the deal, and Firefly and I got a ride with a nice lady to the train station.
New York City was not what I imagined. I thought it would be shoulder to shoulder walking and constant traffic jams, but everything flowed pretty smoothly. Either New York was easier to navigate or we had gotten better at city touring, but this trip was much less stressful than D.C.

We went thrifting and got dresses to look presentable at the Broadway show! The show alone was worth the trip.
The Lion King cast. The costumes, set, and music was simply amazing.

The food was the best ever! Even the cheap stuff was delicious. Grilled cheese, pizza, ice cream, and chocolate chip pancakes were all the best I had ever had. Until now, no one made chocolate chip pancakes better than my mom.
